Lisa SCAFFIDI

Lisa Scaffidi is the 17th Lord Mayor (first female) of the City of Perth and was elected by popular vote in October 2007 after serving as a Councillor for seven years.  Lisa is passionate about Perth and pro-actively promoting the city's evolving face on the world stage during her term. Prior to this role, Lisa was the State Director of CEDA (the Committee for the Economic Development of Australia) from 1998-2007.  Lisa's professional background also includes work over a variety of commercial areas, predominantly the tourism / hospitality and conference industry. Lisa is Perth-born, and a city resident and property owner who has lived in Western Australia all her life.  Lisa was educated at Methodist Ladies College, Claremont and then attended WAIT (now Curtin University). Lisa is keen to meet you and to work with you to create opportunities for collaboration and future business opportunities between our two cities and your relevant organisations.

The City of Perth is the local government authority for the dynamic capital of Western Australia. Governed by a Council of eight Elected Members, (Councillors) and a popularly elected Lord Mayor, the Council's decisions are carried out by the City of Perth administration, led by Chief Executive Officer, Frank Edwards. The City employs over 500 staff who maintain the day-to-day operations of the city and provide advice to Elected Members on the long term management and strategic growth of the city. The City of Perth's total revenue was $135.5 million and its operating expenditure $102.8 million for 2008/09. The City of Perth is set within a boundary area of 8.1 square kilometres around the CBD and includes significant public open space.
